Librarian, Chase Library Association (Harwich)
Chase Library is a small, historic, trustee-run library in the village of West Harwich. The library dates back to 1905. Candidates should therefore be interested in preservation, on-going library development, and future planning.
The position is non-benefited and part time; the library is open 10 hours per week including Tuesday and Saturday hours. Evening hours are not required; special programming may require additional hours.
The chosen candidate will report to the Board of Trustees.
Qualifications
A four-year degree in humanities is preferred though not required.
The candidate will: have a desire to focus on readers' advisory services; the ability to use current technology/social media to promote the library; and, in conjunction with the Board, analyze community needs and plan improvements to operations, procedures, physical facilities, and other library needs.
